Election Campaigning - The Future Leaders
June 2016
It is indeed a pleasure to present the rst edition of our e-
newsletter to you. The year 2015-16 was a rewarding
educational journey and we have set new paradigms for
the current year. The Scholastic year commenced with
events like over-night science camps, parent orientation
program and Investiture Ceremony.
We also introduced value based education. Value
education aims at revisiting values and making everyone
aware of the eroding values and participating in the
cause of nation building by contributing in moulding the
future generations.
We strive to sensitize our students to the needs of the
community and also to inculcate moral values which
enables them to become good human beings. Parents
Orientation was arranged for all the classes to provide an
insight about the school curriculum and the system of the
school. We recognise the important contribution that
parents play in the student's success. Investiture
Ceremony was also organized and Students Council was
formed to enable the students understand about
delegating authority and getting work done by others.
“A good leader takes a lile more than his share
of the blame, a lile less than his share of credit.”

The orientation programme for the parents of nursery to Grade 10 was conducted between 8th June to 13th June. Parents were introduced to the new credit point system. They were given detailed explanation and shown how the break up was. Subject teachers were introduced to the parents. All their queries were explained. They were taken on a school visit after the orientation.

DCIS gave the students innovative and newer approach to
develop their senses which are seven wonders to them to
feel, to touch, to smell , to explore , to share , to co-ordinate
and lastly to love through various activities. It was a journey
from Geocaching hunting to mapping of the school.
Students enjoyed this through directions and symbols.
Mr.Bharat was our 'expert' who gave an idea to students
how to do mapping. Other activities included were quick
sand, globe game , pass the pebble , soils and soils.
Every camp sets out-on is voyage of discovery. All one can
do is encourage the will to explore… The DCIS did it
……….. through smiles on the faces of their students.

throw away plastic bottles. In the end, the children took a
