PSS Worldwide deals with diver training at any level and in any field, from free diving to recreational diving, from cave diving to technical diving. This enormous versatility means that the need of all types of divers can be met.

The educational activities of PSS Worldwide are divided into four training divisions :

FREE DIVING: snorkeling and free diving courses.

RECREATIONAL: recreational diving courses using an aqualung containing air or nitrox, no deeper than 40 meters (130 feet) and within the no-deco stop limits.

TECHNICAL: technical diving courses carried out using various gas mixtures, beyond the limits of the recreational courses.

EMERGENCY: courses dealing with the management of general emergencies as well as emergencies specific to diving activities.

The “PSS Team of Recordmen” was conceived as a pole of aggregation for excellence in any diving activity, the uniting factor being the ability to perform amazing feats.The team includes famous champion world-record holders in free diving, as well as record holders from the fields of technical and cave diving.

To promote and support environmental protection and the marine ecosystem, PSS Worldwide established the WED project (an acronym for "Water - Environment - Divers").

Proseguendo nell’addestramento subacqueo si apprendono conoscenze e tecniche sempre più complesse, fino a diventare un subacqueo o un apneista esperto.

I subacquei in possesso dei requisiti necessari, possono diventare professionisti delle attività subacquee con le qualifiche “Divemaster”, “Assistant Instructor” e “Scuba Instructor”. Gli apneisti esperti possono, invece, qualificarsi come: “Snorkeling Guide”, “Free Diving Guide” e “Free Diver Instructor”.Gli “Scuba Instructor” PSS con grande esperienza di subacquea tecnica possono diventare “Technical Instructor”, mentre i “Divemaster” PSS esperti di subacquea tecnica possono estendere la propria qualifica a “Technical Divemaster”.Infine qualunque “Scuba Instructor” o “Free Diving Instructor” PSS può diventare “Emergency Instructor”.

Le qualifiche professionali PSS sono riconosciute internazionalmente come abilitazione ad accompagnare in immersione o addestrare subacquei e apneisti.

Scuba divers who have the necessary requisites can become diving professionals with the qualification of Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or Scuba Instructor. Instead, expert free divers can qualify as a Snorkeling Guide, Free Diving Guide or Free Diver Instructor.PSS Scuba Instructors with a lot of experience in technical diving can become Technical Instructors, while PSS Divemasters with experience in technical diving can extend their qualification to become a Technical Divemaster.Lastly, any PSS Scuba Instructor or Free Diving Instructor can also become an Emergency Instructor.

The PSS professional certifications are internationally recognized as qualification to accompany or train scuba divers or free divers under the water.
