Purpose
• Raise community awareness of STEM/STEAM initiative.
• Motivate students to consider college and career in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Math field.

• Raise community awareness of STEM/STEAM initiative.
• Motivate students to consider college and career in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Math field.
• Immerse students into a Common Core & 21st Century learning skills practicum.
Practicum
• 10 student groups in 8th grade science will host hands on activities related to Physical Science.
• Target elementary students. This brings in elements of Design Thinking.
• They have to collaborate, innovate, problem solve and communicate.
How
• 35 booths with hands on activities related to STEAM.
• Booth hosts:1. teacher & student groups2. Local businesses/companies3. Clubs & professional associations4. Universities
