November Early Out MeetingsGeneral observationsThe time spent was well worth it to begin to focus vertically and see what other levels had completedLevel teams need time to regroup and move forward with pieces that they want to tweak or change based on work with other grade levelsMost teams have essential learnings identified (some need some tweaking using the guidelines from the September District PLC/Curriculum Meetingsee powerpoint on wiki)

November Early Out Meetings, cont.General ObservationsMost teams have essential learnings matched to standardsMost teams have identified the prior skills/knowledge needed for students to be successfulThe level of specificity is still quite varied in the Content/Skills section (where the team should put all of the stuff that they will teach to get to the big, enduring essential learningTeams have a variety of assessments developed, but continued work on common assessments is a high priorityFacilitation of the teams is still a work in progressthis will be a focus of future conversations for the district team.
