DISTRICT COOLING SYSTEM (DCS)
What is DCS? Large in scale
centralized cooling system
distributes cooling capacity from a central source to multiple buildings for the cooling purpose of the air-conditioning system
through underground chilled water pipe network
Water-cooled(seawater or fresh water)
Different forms of cooling capacity(usually chilled water)
Mechanism of DCS
Produce cooling capacity in the form of chilled water or other
medium
distributes the cooling capacity (chilled water)
to user buildings through
underground pipes
process cooling for for air-
conditioning purpose at each heat exchanger
in individual building

Key infrastructure : -Northern DCS Plant -Southern DCS Plant & a seawater Pump Room
Cooling Capacity : 284 MW (About 81,000 RT)
(Northern DCS : 46,000 RT)(Southern DCS : 35,000 RT)
Detail of the project First development area using DCS
To serve all public and private non-domestic developments
