The board continues to be impressed by the quantity and innovation of grant requests we receive. This past school year we awarded more than $46,000 to fund projects designed to make a difference in our schools. These grants supported new technology, including several iPads for four different projects, and advanced education in the areas of music, science, reading, physical education, art, and community service. Without your generous support, these learning tools and programs could not have been funded.

Faced with growing need for the Foundation’s work in an uncertain funding environment, the Board continues to focus on fundraising. We held another successful Spring Foundation Festival on April 14, significantly increasing attendance and number of sponsors while raising nearly $20,000. In addition, the Annual Foundation Luncheon—made possible by the support of James Steele Construction and the Naughton family—continued to be a critical source of support for the Foundation’s grant-making. As we focus on the current school year, it is clear that more than ever your contributions to our schools through the Foundation will make a difference for our students’ learning.

The Board also worked on its own development, adding four new members who have already made strong contributions. In addition, we unveiled a new website this year where you can access the latest information about our work. Take a minute to check it out at www.rosevilleareaschoolsfoundation.org.

On behalf of the Board, thank you for your support of the Roseville Area Schools Foundation. We are inspired by the growing network of people who support our work to improve education in the Roseville Area Schools, and look forward to your continued commitment to our public schools.

Sincerely,

Mark TraynorChair, Board of DirectorsRoseville Area Schools Foundation

The Roseville Area Schools Foundation seeks support from individuals, foundations and corporations who are interested in public education.

We also seek funds from staff, parents, alumni, and retirees of our school system. Our largest sources of funds are two fundraising events, the Spring Foundation Festival and the Fall Foundation Luncheon. In addition to raising funds, these events strengthen connections to our community.

In the fall and spring of each school year, the Foundation Board carefully reviews grant requests from teachers and staff, and funds those requests that hold the best promise to advance our mission and achieve our goals.

H o w t o G i v e

By supporting the Roseville Area Schools Foundation, you can join us in investing in the future of our community. Grants given by the Foundation directly benefit students in Roseville. As with other foundations, the Roseville Area Schools Foundation is authorized to accept directed gifts, real property, stocksandbondsandtoparticipateinestateplanningtrusts.Tomakeataxdeductible contribution, please fill out the contribution form and send it in the enclosed envelope to the Roseville Area Schools Foundation.
