leaves and grass. Trudgerubbed his eyes and yawned.He stretched his legs and neckout as far as they would go,stood up, and made his waydown to the edge of Bulrush

Pond.

Lo o otra vezdijoCarrern mirando nervioso a sualrededor. Una abeja!

Carrern tena mucho miedo de

las abejas. Con cara de susto, sepeg al caparazn de Pasolento.

Inesperadamente, bzzzzz!, pasuna abeja zumbando a pocoscentmetros de la nariz del

ratoncito.

There it is again, Zippy said,

frantically looking around. I hear

a bee!

Zippy was particularly frightenedof bees. He sat low on Trudges

shell, his eyes wide with concern.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, bzzzz!A bee came zipping out of the sky,

flying right past Zippys nose.

voice again. Well go in a second

time.

With that, the bee plummeted onceagain, landing directly on one of thehoneysuckles that Zippy washolding. Once again Zippy let out a

terrible shriek, and threw thehoneysuckles in the air.

By this time Zippy had climbed off ofTrudges back and scrambled behind a

bush. He poked his head out of thebushes. Because youre trying to sting

me! Zippy said indignantly.

you already tried to attack me twice.

Attack you? The bee laughed. I was afteryour honeysuckle, he explained. Not you!

A puzzled look crossed Zippys face. Whatdo you want with the honeysuckle?

To make honey, answered the bee. Bees
