Specific objectives
The main goal of our strategy before EU elections was to inform
the young people in our Municipality about the real meaning of
the European elections and about the influence their vote has in
the future of Europe and all Europeans. We informed them
about the date of the elections, the procedure and the place
they could vote.
We had to persuade young people to vote in the EU elections
and especially the very young people that voted for the first
time. But the main goal wasn’t the participation in the EU
elections. The goal was (and is) for:
Young people to participate generally, actively in all
matters and to express their opinion. 2
Our main target group
Young people in the age group 18-30 who live, study and/or
work in the area of our Municipality.
Local Youth Council: comprised of a group of young people in
the area of Nea Alikarnassos and established on March
2008.

Creation of an informative new website (www.eurovote.gr)
