Valvesafe ensures that the valves and other detachable parts to be reused remain as a unique set with the parent endoscope. Valvesafe is designed to take up to 4 valves; the air/water valve, suction valve, air/water cleaning adaptor and the biopsy cap if this has not breached. Features: Locks onto the endoscope Distinctive container keeps the valves fastened together with the parent endoscope Assists in the traceability of the scope and its’ valves Protects the valves against damage during the cleaning process Features an integrated opening for the air/water cleaning adaptor chain Has a very open design allowing detergents and disinfectants to flow through easily and effectively Constructed of plastic polymer which is approved for endoscopy use – has no negative reaction with detergents or disinfectants; prevents microbiological growth and will not rust Ensures guideline compliance “Smart-click” technology prevents re-use as cage will no longer close securely Disposable, one-time use minimizing cross-contamination STEP ONE Remove the valves from the endoscope. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: STEP EIGHT Safely discard the Valvesafe Do not reuse. STEP SEVEN Place the valves back with the scope. STEP SIX Pull the ‘ring-pull’ to open the Valvesafe and to release the valves. STEP FIVE Reprocess the scope, and place in drying cabinet if necessary. STEP FOUR Ensure the Valvesafe is closed around the umbilical cord and not the scope insertion tube. STEP THREE Close the top of the Valvesafe around the scopes’ umbilical cord, ensuring the four pins are individually fully located into the opposite housings. Do not press the lid from the centre. STEP TWO Place the valves into the open Valvesafe . The chain of the A/W cleaning valve should pass through a recess.
