Combining the use of high-end projection equipments
along with the building’s own structure, very fine position
alignment and high lumens projection images are required
during implementation to achieve the overall effects. In
recent years, 3D projection mapping technology has
already become the new favorite of outdoor visual arts.
Many international large commercial performances all use
this method as the best promotion method. However, there
are elements to consider including the projection area,
projection distance and the three-dimensional degree of
the building to project it on. The Delta Display System
Integration combines software and hardware technology
and capability to give buildings new life and shining in the
night.

Cases Story 03Taipei 101 is a global indicator, when you go to the top of this
huge tower and look down on Taipei, all landscapes seem to
have a panoramic view. It is also one of Taipei’s landmarks that
tourists from all over the world must visit when they come to
Taiwan. This is the reason why the Taipei 101 team cooperated
with Delta Display System Integration to use the ultra-short
throw projection and blending system into an immersion space
walkway with unique features. In this surrounded space,
sceneries from the four seasons in Taiwan are displayed,
allowing first-time visitors to have an immense feeling of being
surrounded by the island.

Taiwan Lantern Festival-Delta’s Ring of Celestial Bliss
04During the Taiwan Lantern Festival in February 2013, the Delta Display System Integration team used 15 sets of 20,000 and 30,000 lumen High Definition projectors with 3-chip DLP® technology blending into a single 70 meter half-circular projection surface with more than 12 million pixels. Individual RGB colors are processed separately to reveal it’s brilliant color and subtle details. The total number of lumens of the 15 projection systems was over 200K lumens brilliantly displaying the most realistic colors and delicately processed highly accurate layers, allowing the overall sensory to be displayed beyond a theater-level quality.
Delta’s half-circular structure is named “Ring of Celestial Bliss”. It is designed as a continuous irregular arc utilizing the inner surface as the projection medium. Due to the irregular surface design, it makes the design of the projection system especially challenging to blend the video content as one large image.
