Work InstructionFunctional Area: Asset Accounting  Display Depreciation Run Log

Purpose

Use this procedure to display the depreciation posting for a specific period. This report can be executed at any point in time after depreciation has been posted. The Fixed Assets Financial Reviewer will typically be responsible for executing this report.

Trigger

Perform this procedure when there is a need to provide back up for the depreciation run that was created at month end.

Prerequisites

Depreciation would have been run for the specific period.

Menu Path

Use the following menu path to begin this transaction:

Select  Financial Accounting  Fixed Assets  Periodic Processing  Depreciation Run  Display Log to go to the Log of Posting Run screen.

The R/O/C column in the field description tables below defines whether the field is required (R), optional (O), or conditional (C).

On certain screens you may have to scroll to view some data entry fields.

Procedure

1. Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code.

Log of Posting Run

2. As required, complete/review the following fields:

Field R/O/C Description

Company Code Required Organizational unit within Financial Accounting

Example:UC

Fiscal Year Required The fiscal year for which this transaction is relevant

Example:2005

Field R/O/C Description

Posting Period Required The fiscal period in which a transaction in SAP will be posted to the appropriate accounts; the period is determined from the posting date

6. Click on an asset to view the asset details.

7. Click    to verify Modified Accrual depreciation results.
