adventure! Refreshments and hearty snacks provided for the journey. Dress in layers, wear sturdy waterproof boots and a jacket that covers your bum. Daytime trips meet at 8:30 a.m. Moonlight trips meet at 5:30 p.m.
Cost: $39/person. Activity includes: transportation, snowshoes and guide. Return time is about five hours after meeting time. Snow conditions permitting.

Ice Climbingintro.Sat., Jan. 21, 7 a.m.Learn this sport on frozen waterfalls in Colorado Springs.Cost: $60 includes transportation, climbing equipment and experienced instructor.

Cost: $85 with a two-person min., six-person max.

Snowmobile ToursHalf-Day Express. Sat., Jan. 28, meet at 8:30 at ORC.
Half Day, three hour ride is great for those who want to sleep in a little bit. You will see everything on the Monarch Park Scenic Tour, PLUS the upper meadows and overlook. This trip also has more free-ride time and departs from our lodge (snow conditions permitting) approx. 35 miles of riding. Passenger must be at least five years of age. Drivers must be at least 15 years old (with adult supervision). You need to be at least 18 years old to rent a snowmobile for yourself or another.
Cost: $185 for single sled, $240 total for a tandem sled that seats two. Activity includes: Transportation, guides, 1/2 day snowmobile trip, snowmobile clothing (helmet, warm outer layer and boots (common sizes) available. Snowmobile insurance (you still have a $250 deductible in case of incident).

Avalanche Awareness Class.Wed., Jan. 18, 6-8 p.m. FREE! Colorado is home to some of the most stunning and formidable mountain landscapes in the world, and one of the most interesting and reactive snow packs. Classes are taught by an avalanche safety instructor certified and trained through the American Institute for Avalanche Re-search and Education (AIARE).
