What is cyber disembodiment

Disembodiment is when you free your soul or spirit from your body.In the cyber world you free yourself from your body by not having to show or explain your body online.

The positive effect of using disembodiment online

• On the positive side of online interaction, in 2001 found that internet use including e- mail and chat depression especially when mediated by self efficacy. The positive impact of online interaction on personal/ social interaction including family communication and social support. Online chat helps you express your self and be the person you want to be, that increase happiness, and decrease suicide. People who use online chat are more likely to be stress free.

Awareness

Just like school and family, online communities have their own pressures and expectations. If you don’t feel comfortable in a virtual space, it doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with you. There is no need to change yourself to be accepted. Keep looking for a community that accepts you for you.

If you find yourself avoiding your life off-line in favor of your virtual one, think about how why your virtual self is preferable. Try to incorporate that part of your virtual self into your real-world self. Online communities can provide support and assistance as you do this.
