With greater global connectivity and heightened consumer scrutiny, digitalisation of mbusinesses is no longer an option but a necessity. In the Western Balkans and across the globe, SMEs are exploring how to integrate digital technology into their business models in order to open new markets, improve market intelligence and deliver higher value to customers. Slovenia - the Right Mix of Qualities Wednesday 8 May 13:45 - 14:45 Congress Hall, Level 4, Swissotel The Republic of Slovenia is at the crossroads of European corridors and is an advanced transition country which is closest to the Western Balkans. Although Slovenia was the first among transition countries to adopt the euro on January 1st 2007, the country was badly hit by the financial crisis. But it took bold measures and fiscal resources to overcome the problems. Lately, Slovenia has enjoyed a high level of growth and is further integrating its economy into European and global value chains. Lucy Hockings Presenter, BBC World News, BBC Global News Ltd.
