However, when he made his own short film, Soul, he did not have to use these buzz words. Not because the actor being filmed is his friend Joel but the director handled the camera by himself. All he had to wait for was his principal’s permission to shoot in the school premises, and a holiday to film the silence. The 8-minute short film Soul is ready, the little-big director said. The post-production works were complet- ed last week at his Abbassiya house all on a laptop. ‘Soul’ follows a boy who goes to classroom 10 as if he is in search of something accompanied by soulful music and a piece of voiceover. “The short film has flashes of brilliance, something I had not expected from these kids” , said Sreekumar Bhaskar who helped with the post production. Nandhanam Kuwait to hold ‘Arangetram 2013’ N andhanam Kuwait, a socio-cultural organization promoting India’s rich culture and values in Kuwait, is conducting its second “Arangetram”, a students’ debut on stage dance performance, at the American International School, Maidan Hawalli - Kuwait on Friday, November 29. Kavya Madhavan, an eminent and an accomplished film artist and a dancer, Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress twice, will be a special guest for this event. The ‘Arangetram’ will be conducted in its traditional format by experienced professional artists from India including Bijeesh Krishna (vocal), Venugopal Kallamparambil (mridangam), Suresh Krishnannambudiri (violin) and Cherthala Sreenath (edakka). Nandhanam Kuwait commenced its classical dance programs from April 2010, with the traditions of Kerala Kalamandalam and with trained faculties from the very same Kerala Kalamandalam. buff. However, when he made his own short film, Soul,he did not have to use these buzz words. Not becausethe actor being filmed is his friend Joel but the directorhandled the camera by himself.
