Sport’s your thingNottingham loves it's sport so much we've been voted England'sHome of Sport*. Nottingham has 42 sports and leisure centresacross the county including the Nottingham Tennis Centre, NationalWater Sports Centre, National Ice Centre and NottinghamRacecourse. Nottingham is also home to two famous footballteams, the spiritual home of the late Brian Clough – NottinghamForest (European Cup winners 1979, 1980) and the oldest survivingprofessional football club in the world – Notts County Football Club.Nottingham also has a world-famous cricket ground – Trent Bridge.On top of all of that goodness, Nottingham Trent University boastsover 50 sports clubs! That takes some getting through.

Be sure to look out for The Nottingham Riviera – abrilliant urban summertime beach; the Riverside Festival – locatedright along the banks of the River Trent; and Goose Fair – one of theoldest fairs in Britain.
