You must brew essiac tea at home to ensure maximum level of effectiveness. If you purchase pre-brewed tea the beneficial properties may be lost over time—and pre-brewed tea is also much more expensive. Brewing the tea twice is not necessary when you use the powdered herbs in our formula.

Essiac Tea Brewing Instructions

1. Boil the necessary amount of spring water in a large pot. The amounts for each size brew are: To Make Use

One gallon tea 136 oz. water (This is appropriate for aggressive treatment dose) One quart 36 oz. (This is appropriate for maintenance dose) One pint 20 oz. (This is appropriate if you will be traveling or for small animals)

2. Add the correct amount of essiac herbs. The amounts for each size brew are: To Make Use One gallon tea 4 oz. Herbs

(If you don’t have 4 oz. packets, please weigh: 4 oz. dry herbs = 113 grams--but an estimation is 1 ¼ cup using dry measurement cups)

One quart 1 oz. Herbs (If you don’t have 1 oz. packets, please weigh 28.25 grams, estimation is one rounded ¼ cup using dry measurement cups)

One pint ½ oz. Herbs 3. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Slant a cover on the pan to reduce evaporation.

4. Leave tea in pot, turn heat off, and let the mixture sit at room temperature for at least twelve

hours. You do not have to boil the tea twice.

5. The following day, funnel tea into a spring water gallon container and refrigerate. Do not strain the tea. Shake your container before pouring doses. The herb particles are very fine. The herbs themselves increase the efficacy level of the tea.

How to store your essiac

Store packets of herbs in a cool, dark place. Store them in the original packaging or packaging of your choice. Unopened packets of herbs stay fresh for a year, or longer in some cases. Do not put herbs in the refrigerator. Your brewed essiac tea must be refrigerated, since it contains no additives or preservatives. Do not attempt to store brewed tea for more than two weeks, because the tea may spoil. A fresh batch should be prepared every 2 weeks. Store your tea in spring water gallon containers or glass bottles. Amber bottles are not necessary (there is no light inside your refrigerator). Clean all containers thoroughly with hot water before using them to store your tea.

Essiac Tea Dosage For best results, take two hours after and one hour before eating (on an empty stomach).

There are three main factors that affect essiac tea dosage:

1. Seriousness of condition. We advise those fighting cancer to take the aggressive treatment dose. 2. Tolerance for the taste of the tea. The taste of the tea bothers some people. Although the tea tastes somewhat bitter, many people tolerate it just fine. Most people get used to the taste over time. 3. Body weight. Those with lower body weights may require less essiac. Those with higher body weights may need more essiac.

AGGRESSIVE TREATMENT Dose: Recommended dosage is 9 oz. of tea per day, taken in three

separate 3 oz. doses on an empty stomach. 6-12 oz. PER DAY may be used.* --You should this dose if you have or suspect you have a serious condition --You should stay on the aggressive treatment dosage program for at least 5 months. After that, you can switch to a maintenance dosage of 3 oz. per day if your test results have returned to normal. If the original condition persists, continue on the aggressive treatment dosage until your condition improves and you're satisfied with the results. *Essiac can be taken during traditional cancer treatments without interfering with that treatment. If you are undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation, be aware that chemo and radiation can lessen the effects of essiac tea. If you plan to continue your chemo and/or radiation, you might consider taking up to 6 oz. of essiac tea three times per day. Many people have tried this with good results, but it will be your decision if you'd like to experiment with this. MAINTENANCE Dose: Recommended dosage is 3 oz. of tea per day, and can be taken all at once.

2-6 oz. may be used. Take on an empty stomach. The lower end of this range is more appropriate for supplementary use, while the higher of this range may be more appropriate for the treatment of a mild medical condition. --Administer the maintenance dosage for at least 6 months after your test results have returned to normal. --Some also take the maintenance dosage as a daily preventive supplement. --The amount of time you should stay on a maintenance essiac program will be up to you. Detox Dose: Detoxification typically is something that is done for a fixed period of time. Many people choose 3- or 6-month time periods for detoxification. However, some do shorter detoxifications. The dosage for a 2 or 4-week detoxification is 9 oz. of essiac tea per day.

The length of time between detoxification periods depends on three key issues:

1. Individual level of exposure to any toxin, including chemicals, pollution, diet, etc.
