• “Teaching or training which corrects, molds, strengthens, or perfects” (Webster)
• Includes preventative discipline– Ephesians 6:4– Romans 13:1-7 Warning lest sting of law be
felt– Galatians 5:19-21 Forewarn of dangers
• Involves correction – “Punishment; chastisement, control gained by enforcing obedience or order” (Webster)

Corrective Discipline
• For a sin against a brother – Matthew 18:15-17
