Rigid requirements due to legalized gambling necessitate the following:
(A) BACKGROUND MATERIAL:
1. Advance n'Jtice of cases being allowed to travel, preferably in writing (telephone in emergency situations).
2. Copy of travel permit, Probation Form 3, loan of presentence report (will be returned), and record of actual sentence.
(B) REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: Instruct supervision cases to report directly to our offices for registration instructions.
I. Nevada laws and ordinances require immediate felony registration upon arrival with nearest police agencies.** Registration cards are furnished, allowing compliance verification. Must be registered before 24 hours or subject to arrest.

(C) WORK CARD PERMITS: Nevada State Law prohibits the issuance of a work card permit to a convicted felon. This restricts over 90 percent of available employment. Individual exceptions may be considered if the supervising probation officer does the following: (1) writes a favorable letter of recommendation; (2) provides a written summary of each case to the law enforcement body granting the work card appl ication.
(D) ORGANIZED CRIME: It is recommended that travel of organized and conspiratorial crime cases including bookmakers be carefully screened and prohibited unless official purpose of travel is verified by the Nevada District.
