Our kind of cow. Productive and profitable. Her first calf, a steer, had no trouble getting to market weight on time. Her second calf, a heifer, is now working the pastures at Glenview Farm in Pennsylvania. Her third try was a home run and is now a herdsire for Cottage Hill Farm in West Virginia. She sold to Cottle Brothers and Litton Livestock in the last J&L sale. One can never have too many pretty uddered, easy keepers that calve on time and raise a good one with no assistance. We still have her 9-year-old, Rusty dam, and sisters by Durango and Trust in the herd. Her grandam had 11 calves for us before she retired. A maternal sib to her dam just had her 11th calf. Easy fleshing, good uddered cows with longevity that consistently raise solid calves — that is our kind of cow. If this is your kind of cow watch for our consignments.
