2017-2018

The Directorate of Open and Distance Learning (DODL), University of Kalyani invites

applications for admission into the following courses under distance mode for the academic

session 2017-2018:

Note:

1. A candidate with M.A in a subject is eligible to get admission in M.A. in any other

subject (other than M.A. in Education) offered through Distance Mode irrespective

of whether or not that subject was offered by him/her at the degree stage. But

the candidates with M.A. in any professional subject like Music, Drama, Film

Studies, Physical Education (M.P. Ed.), General Education (M.Ed.) etc. will not be

eligible to avail this provision.

2. In case of M.A. in Education, Graduates or post-graduates with B.Ed. or

equivalent degrees are also eligible besides those who meet the above mentioned

eligibility conditions.

3. In case of M.A. in Public Administration, the concerned subject is either Public

Administration or Political Science.

Date of Availability and Submission of forms:

August 01, 2017 to September 23, 2017 (Without Late Fee), except holidays.

October 12, 2017 to November 18, 2017 (with late fee of Rs. 200/- only), except

holidays.

Admission Process

1) Applicants are advised to visit the DODL website http://dodl.klyuniv.ac.in/ for

downloading application and other forms and payment of course fees on and from

August 01, 2017.

2) For downloading Application and Enrolment forms, click “DODL: M.A. Part I Admission,

2017-2018” and then click the following buttons:

3) Payment of Course Fees: Online through “SBI Collect” (Steps will be available at the

DODL Website http://dodl.klyuniv.ac.in from August 01, 2017).

4) After online payment of Course Fee through “SBI Collect”, duly filled in Application

Form and Enrolment Form accompanied by 03 (three) stamp size colour recent

photograph of the applicant, 02 (two) photocopies of Bank Payment Confirmation

Receipt of SBI Collect, self-attested copy of mark sheets of all previous public

examinations passed, and proof of date of birth, are to be submitted to the DODL

office or respective study centres. All original mark sheets/certificates must be

produced at the time of admission for verification.

5) Students are required to preserve Bank Payment Confirmation Receipt carefully for

future reference.

Important Information:

1) DODL reserves the right to postpone the course(s) if viable numbers of

candidates are not admitted.

2) All admissions are provisional subject to eligibility and verification of the

required documents. If any discrepancy is revealed later, responsibility will rest

on the applicant and his/her admission will be cancelled. It is obligatory on the

part of the candidates to satisfy themselves as regards their eligibility for a

particular course before taking admission in a course. It should be carefully

noted that fees of any kind once deposited will not be refunded.

3) There is no age bar in admission into the different courses of the DODL—i.e.

admission is open to any person of any age within eligibility criteria.

4) There is no cut-off year for any course in admission.

5) Two Degree Programmes cannot be allowed to be pursued

simultaneously.

6) DODL reserves the right to postpone the course(s) if viable numbers of

candidates are not admitted.

7) Photograph and other testimonials of the students should be attested by the

respective head of the institution.

8) An 'Enrolment Number' will be assigned to each student on admission after

proper scrutiny of filled-in admission form. In all the communications addressed

to the DODL, reference of this number should be given. Letters received without

the enrolment number will not be entertained.

9) If a student comes from other university/institution for admission into the DODL

Course, he/she shall be required to submit Migration Certificate from the

institution last attended.

10) Change of Course and/or subject and/or Study Centre is not permissible after

admission.

11) The DODL reserves the right to change the fee structure under compelling

condition.

12) All papers including enrolment form, SC/ST applications, review of answer

scripts, applications of any kind (even submitted by post), etc. of the students

will not be entertained by the DODL unless these are forwarded by the

respective head of the institution to which the study centre is attached.

Photograph of the students should be attested by the respective head of the

institution.
