Directing a show for STAGE RIGHT at the Crighton Theatre has brought so much happiness and joy into my life for the past seven years. I truly feel blessed every time I walk through the doors of this magnificent, historic theatre. I would like to thank Steve and Carolyn Wong and The Board of Directors of STAGE RIGHT for their dedication to producing such professional quality shows. The endless hours of work they do “behind the scenes” is truly appreciated and respected by everyone. I want to thank the fabulous cast and crew who have put so much time and effort into bringing this Sondheim musical to life. This is a very unique musical which traces the themes of opportunity, ambivalence, love, anger, and teaching children .... it connects these themes to the music and the use of fairy tale motifs. Using the theatrical technique of story-telling, it teaches us about responsibility and consequences. It leaves us with the comforting knowledge that no one is alone and through the journey “Into The Woods,” we meet bad characters and good characters who teach us lessons about ourselves and life. Sondheim’s integration of the worlds of fantasy and reality is brilliant! I am so privileged to have Adam Isbell, Ana Ladd, Dinah Mahlman, William Luyties, Denise DeBold, Kara Kowalik and Jill Villalobos lending their fantastic talents to making this show come to life!!!! All of you are truly THE BEST!!! My sincerest thanks and appreciation to all of you. I want to thank my amazing grandsons, Mason and Jett Moses, for all the help they have given me with the many shows I have directed. I also want to thank the best husband in the world, Manny Cafeo, for always letting me be ME!”Tina CafeoDirector
