RUTA 5 This is only main highway in Chile that runs

North to South. Wherever you want to go, you must take this route!

Santiago is the point where it gets divided into

North and South.

RUTA 5 SUR (Also known as ‘Autopista Central’ – Central

Highway) Translated as Highway 5 South

From the airport Car Rental

Go south taking the Vespucio Sur Highway until you get to the RUTA 5 SUR exit.

INSTRUCTIONS

RUTA 5 As you travel south, you will go through the

Central Valley of Chile and you will always see the Andes Range on your left.

Along the route, you will go through thousands of hectares / acres of vineyards. You will also pass along the main cities and towns of Chile, cross

dozens of bridges and gas stations.

ALWAYS SOUTH! – STAIGHT LINE The Ruta 5 Sur Highway is almost a straight line. Make sure you carry CHILEAN PESOS with you, as you will have to pay 3 tolls of $2.400 each (no

credit cards accepted!)

After a 2.5 hour drive from Santiago, you will get to the city of Talca. Once you get here, pay

attention to all the exits to the south. You will be looking for the ‘VILLA ALEGRE’ exit.

VILLA ALEGREAlmost a 30 minute drive south of Talca. As you approach this exit, prepare to turn to your right. On the exit you will find a small toll stop. It is free of charge if you show them your last paid ticket.

As you enter the town, you have to slow down your speed up to 50 km/h. Keep going for 5

minutes until you see the winery on your left. Welcome!
