Regional Sans Operaons Department has about 335 posions and is responsible for a variety of funcons, including engineering, operaons and maintenance, capital programs, and the laboratory. The successful candidate will be commied to business efficiencies, capital project delivery, regulatory compliance, and building a workplace of choice culture. ABOUT US Regional San conveys and treats wastewater collected by four contribung agencies: the Sacramento Area Sewer District, the City of Sacramento, the City of Folsom, and the City of West Sacramento. Regional San provides wastewater conveyance, treatment, and disposal services for residents and businesses covering approximately 400 square miles of Sacramento and Yolo counes. On an average day, the system handles about 115 million gallons of wastewater through its conveyance system and at the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant located near Elk Grove, California. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Successful candidates will have extensive, high-level experience with a proven ability to do the following:

Manage and lead a diverse organization Work well with the public, staff, consultants, and officials at all levels

of government, including elected officials Exercise sound, independent judgement Develop and manage budgets Demonstrate knowledge in water or wastewater operations Analyze complex problems and implement creative solutions Drive, facilitate, and support continuous improvement while creating

a positive workplace culture Recognize and effectively manage ever-changing priorities, needs,

and pressures placed on the organization Gather relevant information to make meaningful business decisions

and build stakeholder support Demonstrate keen interpersonal skills Be responsive to challenges and opportunities Ideal candidates will have the following education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, sciences, business administration, or a closely related field.

Ideal candidates will have the following experience: Five years of experience performing management level duties in an engineering, operations, or maintenance function for a large wastewater or potable water utility.

Annual salary range for this position:

$187,658 to $206,269 (including allowances and management differential;

compensation is scheduled to increase by 4.5% as of July 1, 2020)
