Based upon their outstanding application profile, these students were chosen by a selection panel at NASA. The applicant pool was very competitive, so it is extremely exciting to see that 6 WA students were selected to be NASA Aerospace Scholars. As NASA scholars, these students must complete an online distancelearning course, which includes four modules, each containing readings, multimedia presentations, discussion posts, short quizzes and assignments. After successfully completing this graded online course, a group of students will be selected for the onsite summer experience at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. The students who participate and complete in both the online course and the onsite summer experience, may receive elective science credit towards graduation.
