When we heard that the blood supply was at the lowest level that it has been in the past twenty years Our Lady of Guadalupe

Parish and Shrine sponsored a Blood Drive Early within the week we only had 17 people signed up We needed more And so we went on Facebook live to encourage people to respond Wow I have come to believe and to see that our parishioners are at their best when there is a critical need in whatever area it may be Many walked in to donate knowing that they were following the example of Jesus himself who gave his blood in order for us to live What a blessing it was to see so many parishioners of OLG respond with loving concern for others who need us The final count of blood donations was 65 May God in his goodness bless those who organized the drive and those who donated to save a life I would encourage those who were not able to come and participate to contact Vitalant Blood Bank at 4706 N Midkiff You may call 877-258-4825 to make an appointment During this time of the virus the blood supply needs to be at its highest level
