Geopolitical and Security Risk Consulting - Risk Reporting - Business Integrity - Security Technology

Across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, organisations face a myriad of risks created by geopolitics (regional and domestic), the natural environment, external socioeconomic issues, and unique internal factors that collectively produce individually distinct risk profiles.

Consequently, our consulting practice employs a distinctive approach: developing and aligning our clients’ risk management strategies not only with their risk profile but also with their business objectives.

Empowering business with appropriate risk management, we enable our clients to operate efficiently and effectively, leveraging a framework of policies, processes, and safeguards developed specifically for emerging markets that are sometimes volatile and often unpredictable.

“A clear understanding of our Clients’ regional needs has been critical to the success of our engagements” Brian Kelly, Senior Consultant.

When considering the risk in the region, Diligence also thinks comprehensively about crises.

We guide our clients in forming a diverse portfolio of crises they themselves should be prepared to manage: natural disasters, social

instability (riots and regime change), terrorism and conflict, labor strikes, and public health.

The portfolio also gauges the likely levels of communication; ground and air transportation; and public safety, security, and services in situ during a crisis, enabling our clients to preposition resources and prearrange support required to shelter-in-place, relocate in-country, or evacuate.

When a crisis strikes, consideration must also be given to the life-cycle and continuation of the business during the crisis and in the post-crisis periods.

Most organisations consider people and information their most critical assets, and they rely on accessible facilities and continuously available infrastructure, especially information

technology and communications (ITC), for daily operations.  To compete successfully, organisations require resilient operating environments, enabling them to achieve objectives and to attract preferred clients whilst demonstrating a high level of resilience in the business.

With our extensive experience across the region Diligence possesses the technology and process expertise to design and implement business continuity solutions across the region:  backup and restoration of access to data; failover to alternate facilities (local and offshore); and workforce continuity.

Regulatory compliance often directs organisations to protect themselves from corruption practiced by public officials; corporate malfeasance perpetrated by partners; and theft, dishonesty, or fraud committed by employees.

Achieving and maintaining compliance in emerging markets can be difficult. Organisations require appropriate strategies and processes to ensure their integrity is not compromised and reputation not diminished.

We develop bespoke compliance, as well as emerging market entry, strategies and processes for the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, designed to run in parallel with our due diligence; pre-employment screening; and fraud, prevention, detection, and investigations, safeguarding not only our clients’ integrity and reputation but also their business and intellectual property.
