Find  a  line  drawing  of  a  flower  

•  Save  it  to  your  computer  •  Make  sure  it  is  a  large,  clear  image!!!  

Go  to  h@ps://pixlr.com/web  Click  on  the  turquois  “launch  web  

app”  bu@on  

1)Choose  Open  image  from  computer  2)Open  the  jpeg  image  of  your  line  

drawing  that  you  saved!  

Add  a  new  layer  

On  new  layer  choose  the  paint  brush  click  on  the  color  swatch  and  choose  a  

color  for  your  petals  

Lower  the  opacity  of  the  paint  brush  so  that  you  can  add  more  paint  to  one  end  of  the  petal  to  create  a  gradient.  

Click  hold  down  and  paint  one  en*re  petal  

Go  over  again  and  again  one  end  of  the  petal  to  create  gradient  

Choose  your  eraser  and  clean  up  the  edges  

Add  new  layer  and  paint  the  next  petal  un*l  you  have  painted  it  all!  

For  each  painted  layer  click  the  layer  op*ons  and  choose  a  layer  mode  

(all  layers  should  have  the  same  mode  ie  mul*ply)  

File  >save  Format:  Jpeg  

once  saved  as  a  jpeg  add  to  your  porTolio!
