Digital Television

Basically digital television is a type of television broadcasting

innovative breakthrough that converts analog data transfer

processes into digital transfer. The process of broadcasting

(data transfer from the server to the TV) through the air and

transmitted through bits of data such as data transfer to a

computer. This technology certainly is not a something new.

However, the interesting thing is the process of broadcasting

can produce a good quality images, known as HDTV (high

definition TV).

What is HDTV ?

High definition television HDTV means that are

the superiority of the development of digital TV.

History of HDTV

HDTV technology was developed in Japan, they were able

to use the technology in 1992 despite the fact that this

technology is not capable of being used in bulk in Japan.Seeing this development, the land of Uncle Sam certainly

dont want to lose and do a lot of research to be able to use

this technology. Their work success, it is proved by the

release of government regulations in the United States to

shut down all analog channels on February 17, 2009 and

replaced with a broadcast exclusively in digital form.

Digital Television Broadcasting Process

Terrestrial digital TV broadcasting uses the radio frequency VHF / UHF as

well as analog broadcasting, but with the digital format. In analog

television broadcasting, as far away from the television station transmitter

signal will be weakened and the reception becomes bad and shaded

images. As with the digital television broadcasting continues to deliver

crystal clear picture and sound to the point where the signal is no longer

acceptable. In short, digital TV broadcasting knows only two states: Accept

(1) or not (0). That is, if the digital broadcast receiver to catch the signal,

the broadcast program will be accepted. But in reverse, if the signal is not

received, then the TV does not appear image nor sound.

There are 2 types of analog television, there was a

Analog television is still using tubes behind the

monitor, so it looks big and bulky.

The signal reception still use the local antenna. Acceptance will not be bouncy while on the move.

No need to air monthly cost A.K.A free.

"Sebagai perbandingan, hampir lebih dari 85 persen wilayah duniasudah mulai mengimplementasikan televisi digital. Indonesia juga

harus segera," kata Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika, Tifatul

Sembiring, di Jakarta, Rabu (7/3/2012).

Amerika Serikat, sebut Tifatul, telah menerapkan televisi digitalsejak Juni 2009, Jepang pada Juli 2011 dan Korea Selatan baru pada

Desember 2012 mendatang.

Di tahun ini pula, negara RRC (China) dan Inggris Raya juga akan

mengaplikasikan televisi digital, khususnya pada Oktober 2012mendatang.

Sementara Brunei Darussalam baru pada Juni 2014, Malaysia

Desember 2015, serta Singapura, Thailand dan Filipina juga

serentak pada 2015.
