ing, 73-71 on Feb. 28 of last season in Au-rora, Ill., but lost the five games prior in the series. Last season’s matchup was for the NACC Tournament title, which came down to a last-second shot. CUW is 3-4 against Aurora when games are played inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

TARON EDWARDSTaron Edwards is having a career season on both ends of the court. Entering today’s game he leads the team with 15 steals and has the highest steals per minute

average in the NACC.

CUW is on pace to shatter the program’s per game scoring record for a season. They are scoring 90.7 points per game,

which is 9.8 points more per game than 2010-11.

The countdown is on for Keith Kahlfeldt, as he nears 1,000 career points. He is just 53 points shy of becoming the 15th 1,000 point scorer in program history.

The Falcons are shutting down the opposition from down-town, allowing just 29.8 per-cent of 3-pointers to be made against them.

• Freshman forward Andrew Fratzke is becoming a force in the middle for CUW, recording double-dou-bles in each of the last two games. After sitting out the first four games of the season with an illness, the rookie is continually earning more playing time as he controls the paint.

What made you decide to come to CUW?What made me come to CUW was Eric (Kit-tel). I attended a two-year school (UW-Fox Valley) before coming to CUW and I wasn’t really sure where I wanted to go when I was done. Eric kind of recruited me and told me how much he really enjoyed the school, so I came for a visit and absolutely loved the school.

What do you like about being part of the CUW basketball team?I love the fact that it’s a brotherhood. All the guys on the team relate to one another so well and I know everyone of these guys would be there for me if I needed it. It truly is a home away from home. These guys are my second family.

How do you feel this season is going so far as Christmas break nears? This season is going well so far. We’ve been playing well together as a team and really bought into playing team basketball. As we get closer to Christmas break having just two losses is not a bad place to be with a majority of the season left. We are getting better everyday and I’m looking forward to what the season has in store for us.

As a senior what are your goals for the rest of the season? As a senior, I just want to make my last sea-son a memorable one. It’s already taking place as there isn’t a group of guys I would want to spend my last season with than my teammates. We have high expectations for ourselves, and I know we can take our game to another level. So my expectations are to get better everyday, which we have done a good job of, and to not leave anything on the court.

You’ve been playing well coming off the bench, providing a spark for the team. What is your mindset when you get into the game? Our team in general is a spark that is just waiting to explode. All of the guys coming off the bench have been doing a good job, giving good minutes through the course of the game. My mindset is to just go out there and play within myself and do what-ever I can to give our team the best possible chance of winning the game. Whatever the team needs from me I am more than willing to provide it. We as a team know we need to stay within ourselves and when our number is called we just have to do the very best we can.
