Delivers hosted services over the internet e.g. Google docs.

Named because the 'cloud' is the representation in most diagrams

Clouds are either Public or Private

Service is fully managed by provider. (consumer = internet & PC)

WiFi allows us to connect to the internet from various locations

Can connect from laptops and internet enabled devices e.g. mobile phones
