Digital Marketing Intern
Do you want to use your digital marketing and organizational talents to strengthen our democracy? CRFC is need of intern who can take initiative, use their new media knowledge and will be energized by the opportunity to define, mold and execute campaigns to build audiences across platforms.
Us: Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago (CRFC) strengthens American democracy by providing elementary and secondary students with hands-on learning about the Constitution to prepare them for informed civic engagement. We bring the Constitution to life.
The Gig Under the direct supervision of the Communications Director, the Digital Marketing Intern will focus on three main areas:
• Website o Update CRFC’s online lesson database & homepage o Assist with website rebranding and design. o Identify methods to grow CRFC’s e-mail list
• New Media o Gather, calendar and post content for social media platforms. o Research, plan and implement social media strategies for organic audience
growth. o Report and present findings.
• Content Marketing o Create and write add-value content for monthly Update o Aide in the creation of the Blog editorial calendar
• Other responsibilities as assigned
You:
• Are working toward a college degree, (Journalism/Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)
• Have a strong command of social platforms, new media, audience strategies and MS Office
• Are organized, self-directed, and resourceful • Are an effective communicator, both written and oral • Proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop a plus
• Video editing and/or graphic design experience a plus • Enthusiasm for the mission of Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago
Start Date Open
Hours 10-15 hours per week, at least two days in office each week
Compensation This is an UNPAID internship
