Why is your Digital Footprint Important? 87% of Americans can be identified online with just three facts about them: ZIP code, birthday, and gender (Morehouse, 2011). 63% of hiring managers decided not to hire an applicant because they found something questionable about that person on a social networking site (Cowell, 2010). Roughly one third of internet users say the following pieces of information are available online: their email address, home address, home phone number, or their employer. One quarter to one third of internet users say they do not know if those data points are available online.

thing in the right place –
• You act differently at home, your friend’s house and town centre – it’s the same online.

place new people new challenges”
