Example’s face takes up a large part of the overall image which suggests a use of minimalism and that his image alone will be enough to entice people to buy the album. Another theory which applies to this album cover is David Gauntlett’s ideas on the representation of stereotypes and an individual’s identity. We can see through the use of lighting that there is an obvious reference to light and dark James Baker’s theory on how media is produced. The selection of images and how they are arranged are very important as it determines what the audience focus’s on . Another theory which applies to this album cover is David Gauntlett’s ideas on the representation of stereotypes and an individual’s identity. We can see through the use of lighting that there is an obvious reference to light and dark personality, perhaps a comment on the individual's personality.
