Council Meetings in JanuaryCounty working to keep roads clear of snow Check online for information on clearing your driveway and sidewalks, where to place your Green Routine carts, and maps of priority snow clearing routes. Call to let us know about conditions that need attention – icy roads, downed traffic signs or traffic lights not working. No parking during snow clearing in Sherwood Park When snow clearing is needed on collector roads and bus routes (Priority 3) or in residential neighbourhoods (Priority 4), no-parking signs will be posted. The parking restriction will go into effect 24 hours after the signs are installed, and will remain in place until the signs are removed. In instances where parked vehicles are towed, they will be moved to a nearby location where snow removal has been completed. Reminder: Collection takes a break at Christmas There was no waste collection this week. Both waste and organics will be collected December 31 to January 4; Tuesday collection will be moved to Wednesday for this week only. Recycle your Christmas tree Take your Christmas tree, cut into four-foot sections, and put it out for pickup on your regular collection day between January 7 and 18. New Year’s Eve safari to ring in 2013

New Year’s Eve will be transformed into an evening of safari-themed fun from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Join us at Broadmoor Lake Park, the Community Centre and Festival Place for FREE family fun! Alex the Lion is coming

Madagascar 3’s Alex the Lion will be at Festival Place for three special performances on New Year’s Eve.
