region. More than 1200 people attended the conference in 2010

and with each year, the conference has been getting bigger and

    better. .

The Sixth Dubai International Food Safety Conference will

discuss one of the most relevant and timely topics Food Safety

in the Emerging Economies. The conference that will be held

on the 28th of February and the 1st of March, 2011 at the Dubai

Convention and Exhibition Centre will address food safety

challenges faced by the countries that are emerging as mass

producing economies, but have food control systems that are not

always as well organized and developed as in the

industrialized countries. The two day conference will look at

ways and means to come up with achievable, reliable and

sustainable solutions to enhance food safety in emergingeconomies. The conference aims to bridge the gap between the

developed and the emerging countries by providing a platform

to share knowledge and experience and facilitating mutual

cooperation among regulatory agencies and the food industry.

Food safety is a global challenge and we need strong

partnerships to protect people from unsafe food and make the

food available and affordable to all through measures that are
