FOOD VISIBILITY
REVERSE SIDE PROMOTION
DIFFERENTIATE your food products with us
When you consider the wide range of UPM Raflatac label materials, there are
many possibilities in terms of the face material. Also, all shapes are possible as
the labels are held in effect by the carrier (backing) material. For example, it is
possible for labels with curves and cut-outs to match with the particular product
or pack.
Full wrap self-adhesive labels will maximize the size of the area for branding
and product information and do not block product visibility. Translucent film
labels can even be used to create the feeling of a no-label look for unusual
product exposition. Full wrap solutions also have promotional pos sibilities (e.g.
a loyalty campaign) on the reverse side that are visible only after purchase.
Often food packages are piled up on the shelf. In this case, full wrap labels
bring shelf visibility to the next level. All this improves the impression and gives
more opportunities to differentiate your food product on the point of sale.
Full wrap labels can also substitute high grammage folded carton sleeves
with lighter pressure sensitive label construction and still offer premium shelf
appearance.
You decide the shape and design of your label.

By choosing full wrap with self-adhesive labels, you will join the platform to innovate extra features for consumers.
Consumers will enjoy your full wrap labeled food
• Design both sides with readable labels and let the consumers experience your brand without opening the food package.
• Perforate the full wrap and make the package easy to open. Perforated full wrap labels can be also used to help in opening packages such as clamshells.
• Or, add tamper evident functionality, so that consumers can see if the package was manipulated.

LabelerOptimum results for label lengths up to 500 mmWith its L 310 Full Wrap Labeler, MULTIVAC offers a robust and low-maintenance
conveyor belt labeler for high outputs up to 150 products per minute. The label dispenser
enables label lengths of up to 500 mm to be run so that a 360° wrap around can be
achieved, as well as overlapping ends of the label. Precise guidance of the packs and a
servo-driven press-on unit ensure maximum accuracy.
The height of the label dispenser is ergonomically adjusted from the front of the unit to
accommodate various pack sizes. The labeler can either be used as a stand-alone solution
or seamlessly integrated into a packaging line which enables automation of many tasks,
such as loading of parameter settings or print layouts.
Great flexibility thanks to a wide range of equipment optionsThanks to its modular design, the Full Wrap Labeler offers a high level of flexibility to fulfill
a variety of tasks. As an example, it can be equipped with further label dispensers for the
application of top or bottom labels. Also a blow-on applicator, which is used to apply
promotional labels without contact to delicate products or into the base of skin packs, can
be integrated.
The MULTIVAC Full Wrap Labeler also offers users the benefit of complete printer
integration. This makes it easy to configure the printer parameters as well as assigning and
automatically loading the print layouts from the MULTIVAC recipe. Operating errors can be
prevented, while downtime is reduced and batch changes can be handled more quickly.
The integration of inspection systems for checking label and print presence and correctness
also contributes to greater reliability of the labeling and packaging process.

MULTIVAC L 310 full wrap labelers are designed for pressure sensitive labels with carrier backing
and tested with UPM Raflatac label stock materials. Thousands of label printers are able to print
and convert your full wrap labels. This allows you look together for new label solutions and build
a strong platform for innovations.
On top of that, there are no specific investment needs for the printing and converting equipment.
Self-adhesive technology also provides increased efficiency of the labeling process. With
Raflacoat Board NXT+ and Coated Board 130 FSC materials, which with both at 130 g/m2 offer
similar haptics as linerless material with a grammage of 170 g/m2, the number of labels per roll
is up to 30 percent higher. This reduces the number of roll changes and ensures less downtime.
Additionally, no manual application is needed.
