Both Egyptian and Greek had similar ideas such as the Sphinx sculptures, the
Greeks made sculptures of Sphinx and so did the Egyptians however the Egyptian
Sphinx was much bigger
Greeks used mostly marble and bronze in making their
sculptures. They used this because it was strong. They also painted their sculptures
Some Greek sculptures were created to represent Greek Gods, similarly
Egyptians also created sculptures to represent their Gods and beliefs
Greek sculptures were often influenced by lions, stags, birds, beetles, hares and griffins. Sometimes they would create sculptures using different animal body
parts
Some Egyptians created sculptures for afterlife because they believed they take
what they die with so they built sculptures to take with them to keep
wealthy. They often created tomb sculptures to keep bodies in whereas
Greeks didn’t
Later Egyptian sculptures where made of gold and bronze to
strengthen their sculptures and to prove that they are of an important
person
Painted wood was the most common Egyptian sculpture material; they also used stones for sculptures and to craft with such as limestone and sandstone
Egyptians created sculptures of their pharaohs and queens in physical form.
The Greeks also created sculptures based on their leaders in physical form
Greek and Egyptian sculptures are
made to accurate design because they both liked making their art look exactly how
they wanted it to; they all wanted to
include a lot of detail
