The C7A2 5.56 mm Rifle is an advanced basic infantryman’sweapon used for personal defence and for the engagement anddefeat of enemy forces and equipment. The C7A2 is a rugged, gasoperated, magazine fed, personal weapon capable of accurate firewith 5.56 X 45 mm NATO Standard ammunition. Furniture ismoulded in colour to break up the shape and pattern of the riflewhen viewed at a distance.

• The C7A2 Rifle has a Flat Top upper receiver withCanadian Standard Weaver sight rail and a TRIAD IMil-Std-1913 rail at the front sight position, that provides3 additional rails permitting the use of a full range ofsighting and tactical accessory options. It is equippedwith a Telescoping Buttstock and a serrated rubberbuttpad. A single or double rear sling loop is provided atthe rear of the lower receiver for the attachment oftactical slings. The C7A2 also accommodates the 40 mmM-203A1 grenade launcher, providing the versatility ofavailable 40 mm grenade ammunitions.

• This rifle can be operated either right or lef t-handedwithout modification or reconfiguration. It has anAmbidexterous Fire Control Selector that permits eithersingle shot or full automatic firing, a 3 round burst optionis also available. The rifle also features an AmbidextrousMagazine Catch.

• Optional Ambidextrous Charging Handle Latchconfigurations are available to suit the mission and sightsdeployed.

• The rifle is designed and configured to be operated andmaintained easily under severe military serviceconditions. It is fully compatible with cold weatherclothing, NBC equipment/protective gear, night visionsights/devices, and simulation/training systems.

• All user maintenance can be per formed without tools, andall armourer maintenance can be per formed at the unitlevel, with a minimum of special tools and gauges.
