System guideOur garments are divided into four different groups or “systems”� Each garment system has its own specific properties� Labeling our products this way makes it easy for our customers to understand how each garment is designed and thus find a product that will meet their particular needs�

Level guideFor a quick and easy overview our garments are categorized in four different levels� We talk about Dry Level, Heat Level, Function Level and Breathable Level� Depending on the garment system group the number of levels varies�

All products marked with the STORM SYSTEM label are specially developed for particularly harsh weather� Their shell fabrics are fully waterproof and all seams are sealed by tape and/or welding� The STORM SYSTEM products are all about protection and they are designed to keep you dry and warm during all weather conditions�

The THERMAL SYSTEM garments from Didriksons will help your body maintain the right temperature� In harsh weather they are preferably worn together with a protective shell that helps insulate the body heat� The THERMAL SYSTEM garment is soft, comfortable and will keep you warm on a very cold day�



Our garments marked with MO:VE SYSTEM label will help keep your body cool, dry and comfortable� The fabric consists of a special yarn structure that helps absorb your body perspiration and has a antimicrobial technology that eliminates odors� It rapidly transports perspiration and moisture to the fabric surface for quick evaporation�


All Didriksons products marked with the BREEZE SYSTEM label are windproof� The fabrics used for these products are either windproof and waterproof combined or windproof only� No seams are sealed� This gives us a highly breathable and comfortable garment well suited for most weather conditions�


Breathable levelThe Breathable Level is achieved using waterproof and breathable fabrics� If a garment is using waterproof and breathable fabric but seams are not sealed this will result in a higher Level number then if it would have had sealed seams� As the seams will let air pass through�The other factor is the ability a waterproof fabric allows moisture vapor to be transported from the inside of the fabric to the outside� The Level number indicates how many kilograms that will pass through 1 m² during 24 hours� The breathability can be measured in many different testing methods, at Didriksons we use the one called ASTM E-96 BW STANDARD�It’s important to also look at the garments function level when you are looking for a garment to be used when you are active as ventilations etc� help you to keep a good microclimate inside your protective shell�

Heat levelThe Heat Level stands for the garments ability to protect you against low temperatures� A high level number has a better ability to isolate the heat and keep your body warm then a low level number� What effects the level is the garments insulation volume, if it´s waterproof and/or windproof and how much of your body the garment covers�

Dry levelThe Dry Level communicates the water column of the waterproof fabric and is only used in fully seam sealed Storm System garments� The Dry Level number is expressed in meters of water pressure the fabric can resist�

Dry levelThe Dry Level communicates the water column of the waterproof fabric and is only used in fully seam sealed Storm System garments� The Dry Level number is expressed in meters of water pressure the fabric can resist�

A Didriksons Dry 15^ fabric is a com-bination of a high water repellent base fabric and a lamination or coating with a minimum of 15�000 mm water resis-tance after 3 washes� This together with the garment function level and breathabxility level forms a highly durable, waterproof, breathable and comfortable protection in all weather conditions�

2 directions adjustable hoodThe hood size can be adjusted in 2 direc-tions�

2way frontzipTo maintain a good micro-climate inside your protective shell you sometimes need to release some unnecessary heat to avoid cooling condensation� If a garment uses a 2way frontzip in combination with a button down placket this allows you to use it as a ventilation�

2way leg end zipZipper in the side of pants can be used for ventilation and are easy on and off�

2way stretchFor increased comfort and flexibility, we use our 2way stretch fabric that flexes in two directions�

3 directions adjustable hoodFor a fully adaptable hood with a best pos-sible fit� The hood size can be adjusted in 3 directions�

4 needle flatlock seamsFor a low profile skin friendly and chafe free seam�

4way stretchFor maximum comfort and highest flex-ibility, our 4way stretch fabric flexes in all directions�

Adjustable chin strapTo keep the hat on head in windy conditions the strap attaches under the chin�

Adjustable cuffSometimes it is necessary to reduce the amount of loose cuff fabric in order to con-tain the heat inside the garment� Adjustable cuffs are easily adapted to the size of your preference�

Adjustable hemThe adjustable hem helps you adjust the garment and keep the heat inside�

Adjustable hoodThe hood size is adjustable�

Adjustable upper bodyUpper body of pants are adjustable in height�

Adjustable waistSometimes it is necessary to get rid of a loose fit or want to keep the heat inside the garment� An adjustable waist lets you eas-ily adjust the size after your demand�

Antenna holders

Attach to belt flapsTo keep the leggings up attach the flap loop on top to a belt�

Boot hookHook in lower inside front edge that gives you the option of securing leg from mov-ing up�

Brushed surfaceThis finish on the fabric surface we use to get a softer and more comfortable gar-ment� It is important to know that a finish like this influences negatively on the fabrics water repellency� The water will stick easier and stay on the surface of the fabric compared to a unbrushed surface were the water easier roll off�

Chin guardTo avoid skin irritation from the sometimes rough zipper a chin guard protects you�

Combined pocket and ventilationTo keep a good micro-climate inside your protective shell you sometimes need to release unnecessary heat and avoid cooling condensation by letting external air pass through the inside of the garment� This garment has a pocketbag that lets air pass through, and gives you the option to keep it open and ventilate�

Detach beltThe belt is detachable� This gives you the choice of wearing the garment with or without belt�

Detach gaiter with boot loopsGaiter for protection from the outside ele-ments that is detachable� The boot loops gives you the option of securing gaiter from moving up�

Detach hoodThe hood is detachable� This gives you the choice of wearing the jacket with or without hood�

Detach suspendersThe suspenders are detachable from the waist� This gives you the choice of wearing the pants with or without suspenders�

Drain holesOuter pocketbags are equipped with drain holes�

Ergonomic cutA garment that is cut and designed to allow your body to move as freely and comfort-able as possible�

Ergonomic openingsPockets and vents are designed for easy access when using a back back or similar�

Extra protective peakThe peak of hood is eatra large around hood edge and blocks out unwanted cold�

Fabric mappingFabric mapping means that a garment is made of two or more different fabrics that are working together� The specific proper-ties of each fabric creates a more comfort-able and/or durable garment�

Fixed hoodThe fixed hood is perfect when need-ing adaptable, lightweight and ergonomic protection�

Fixed suspendersThe suspenders are fixed together with the pants�

Fold away seat flapFold up the seat flap and attach it to the inside back with snap buttons� This gives you the choice of wearing the jacket with or without seatflap�

Gaiter with boot loopsGaiter for protection from the outside ele-ments� The boot loops gives you the option of securing gaiter from moving up�

Garment compatibleWithout the harness it can be attached to garments with the special attaching points�

Hand loopsTo keep the cape in place while moving there are two elastic loops inside to put your hands into�

Hanger on backA durable hanger is placed on outside back upper neck for attaching a landing net or alike�

Helmet sized hoodThe hood is sized with extra space to fit over a helmet�

Rod loopHelps you hold the rod and have one hand free�

Roll away hoodRoll down the hood� By attaching the inside flap to the loop on the back of the hood, it will transform into a “collar”�

Roll away storm gaitorThe inside storm gaitor can be rolled up into a zipper closed pocket hidden in the lining�

VentilationTo maintain a good micro-climate inside your protective shell you sometimes need to release some unnecessary heat to avoid cooling condensation� A vent allows you to do this by letting air pass through without having to take off the garment�

WR zips in exposed zippersThese zippers have a water resistant adhesive on the outside surface� To provide protection from the outside elements with a low profile look and less bulk�

Function levelThe Function Level will tell you what functions each garment has and what they stand for�

Didriksons water repellent fabric fi nishPrevents rain from saturating the garment’s “face fabric”�To keep the fabric surface dry is important, as a wet fabric surface will make the garment heavy and reduce the breathability of the fabric� It has nothing to do with the actual waterproofness of the fabric but if there is no breathability this can cause condensation inside the garment and effect the inside comfort� WR fabrics finish lower the surface tension of the fabric� A WR fabric finish makes the surface hydrophobic, in other words it fabric surface repels the water�

Handle and careTo get a long lasting garment that stays waterproof and water resistant it is of high importance to treat it well and handle it with care�Here follows some easy advice:• Do not store a garment packed, wet or dry� This is to avoid permanent wrinkles that can demolish

tape and have a negative impact on the fabric performance� It is best stored on a hanger at room temperature without direct sunlight�

• Dirt and body oil, multiple laundering or abrasion will make the WR fabric finishes diminish�• If the rain drops stays on the garment, spreads out on the fabrics surface and the surface gets a

darker color the WR fabric finish needs to be re-activated or re-impregnated� • A dirty garment needs to be washed to get the WR fabric finish working� When washing, use a gentle

detergent, as it is gentler on the garment, particularly for the WR fabric finish� Avoid fabric softener as this can have a negative impact on the garment’s water resistance and can contribute to over-fertilization of our lakes� To re-activate the WR fabric finish the garment needs to be heat-treated after washing� This is done for example by ironing the garment on low, dry heat�

• Depending how durable the WR fabric finish is the water repellency might get deficient after some washes or after a lot of abrasion� Then it can be good to re-impregnate� We have no impregnation preparations that we recommend over another� In the most well-stocked sports and adventure stores, you can find suitable impregnation� In order to preserve our environment and even the clothes, do not wash unnecessarily!
