So far we’ve had tonnes of volunteers, donations, a huge Bag 2 School response and enthusiasm from children, parents, carers and class reps. The Halloween Bake Sale raised £377.51, and a very merry Year 1 Social at The Antelope raised £75 (everyone who came donated a fiver). PTA MEETING - Friday 30th Nov 2pm - Come along to the staff room to meet fellow PTA folks for fundraising updates, ideas and planning. CHRISTMAS TREE ORDERS - Ensure you order your festive Fir via [email protected] before 30th Nov! Trees to be collected on 15th Dec. CHRISTMAS JUMPER SWAP - Tues 4th Dec - Bring your outgrown jumpers to the kitchen by reception on the morning of the sale, then at 3pm find a new one at The Shelter for just £2 a pop! PLUS second hand School Uniform Sale, same place, same time. WREATH MAKING - Thursday 6th Dec - sold out! Look out for more craft events coming soon. FROSTY FRIDAY SAMOSA STALL - Friday 14th Dec - Pick up some treats at the school Christmas fair! MOYSER ROAD CHRISTMAS STALL - Saturday 15th December 4-7 PM- We’ll be selling some exclusively-designed bags, and various handmade gifts. Any crafty crafers get in touch! FESTIVE FILM CLUB - Monday 17th Dec 3pm - 5pm. Tickets are £3 but limited to 200. Open to Year 1 and above, who’ll soon be able to vote for the film! PTA DISCO - Saturday 2nd Feb - At Seely Hall. We’ll need volunteers to help with decorating, refreshments, face painting and glitter tattoos, so please get in touch if you can lend a hand! SCHOOL QUIZ NIGHT - late Feb / early March - Watch this space for details, but in the meantime you might want to recruit a team of eggheads. SAY HELLO TO... Mrs Wilson (Head) was born in Lahore, lived in Pakistan for some of her childhood and speaks some Urdu. She loves horses, canoeing, cycling and swimming. Before becoming a teacher she worked as a social worker and ran a fruit and veg shop in Brixton. Her brother is an international chess champion and she has 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
