As I watch parents and volunteers participate in so many of the wonderful ‘extras’ that occur at HFCS, I am filled with deep gratitude. We need everyone to assist in these great activities so that we spread the workload. Thank you parents for all you do. You are always welcome to assist and volunteer for any of the other class responsibilities. KINDERGARTEN Field day 1 st First Communion reception and Halloween Carnival 2 nd Grandparents Tea 3 rd Believe…In Holy Family 4 th Grandparents Tea 5 th Teacher/staff appreciation week 6 th Field Day 7 th Teacher conference food and snacks 8 th Open House Box Top AND Labels for Education Contest! Collect as many UPCs from these 2 programs and submit them by February 18th to win lunch with Ms. Wiltgen! Make sure to label a baggie with student’s name when submitting. Collection box is located in the main school’s vestibule. The winner will be announced in the 2/24/16 Wednesday Word. THANK YOU is not enough! Our Grandparents and Special Friends Tea was an outstanding success. The hall looked beautiful, the sandwiches were delicate and delicious and all our guests were treated like royalty. I am so grateful for all the parents who made this event possible. I want to especially thank Alanna Goodwin, chair of PTO, for her unbelievable organization and hard work. Thank you also to the faculty and staff for the classroom activities that were engaging and fun. Ms. Beecroft’s Book Fair was a great hit and successful. We will have many new books in our library. The fair earned the library over $2800 in Scholastic dollars which will be used to purchase new books and other resources directly supporting the students and teachers. Our sales increased $1000 over last year. More books, more reading! Thank you Holy Family community! A special shout out to my volunteers: Jen Briggs, Richelle Olson, Mary Fallon, Christine Arzt-McGee, Catherine Pakish, Amy Mitchoff, Natalie Cahill, Sophia Donato and McKenzie Fitzgerald. Our Holy Family T&F team needs willing parents to work with the athletes in all areas of the sport, no prior experience necessary! We will miss our many wonderful coaches who are moving to other obligations, and we welcome new parent/coaches to our team to be at twice-a-week practices and at meets. You don’t have to be a runner or to have thrown shot put in order to help with Track & Field. Our Holy Family T&F team needs willing parents to work with the athletes in all areas of the sport, no prior experience necessary! We will miss our many wonderful coaches who are moving to other obligations, and we welcome new parent/coaches to our team to be at twice-a-week practices and at meets. God’s people have always been pilgrims. Ever since Abraham and Sarah, the human relationship with God has been that of people on a purposeful journey. Lent, in particular, is a time of paying at-tention to that journey.
