Sherry was born Shirley Ruth Larson January 12, 1947, in Ada, MN. She started first grade in Minot, NO. During her elementary years, Sherry learned, very quickly, how to play accordion and played at a lot of church events. She attended high school in Bismarck, NO. Sherry had an excel- lent work ethic and en- joyed working through- out her lifetime. Her longest job was when she was director for Meals on Wheels in Hazen, ND. She worked at the Far- go Public Library. She worked at grocery stores in New Leipzig, ND and Casselton, ND. She worked at MVNA as a re- ceptionist in Minneapo- lis, MN. Her favorite job of alii was being a mom and grandma. Sherry had an excep- tional talent for drawing free hand and oil paint- ings. She loved to gar- den and plant flowers of any kind so much that she would share with anyone. Sherry loved to attend church. Her faith was es- pecially important to her. She went on two mission trips to Columbia and China. Her favorite part was rocking the babies in the orphanages. She absolutely loved to talk and visit with anyone. She was never short of anything to tell you and sometimes she would tell you twice. If she calle you on the phone, yo could count on needing few hours. Sherry is survived b her two sons: Richy an Anita Krueger of Wes Fargo, ND and Don aId and Heidi Kruege of Amenia, ND; seve grandsons: Daniel an Andrea, Aaron and Asia Josh, Joe, Trenton, Hunt er and Zachary; thre brothers: Leon and Rose Ann Larson of Belfield ND, Glenn and Phylli Larson of Wilton, ND, Ti tus Larson of Mapleton ND; many special niec es and nephews. She will be greatly missed b all her family. She was preceded i death by two sons: Fred erick Donald Krueger Jr and Randy Lee Wittmai er; her parents Mervi and Ruth; three brothers Melvin, Roland and Den 111S. A celebration of lif will be held in the sum mer. Invites will go ou to all family members. Her final resting plac will be Ada Cemetery Ada, Minnesota. Wayne Friez Wayne Douglas Friez, 76, died peaceful- ly at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on Janu- ary 16, 2021. He was born Janu- ary 20, 1944, in Elgin, ND to Albert and Opal (Graeber) Friez. He was a 1962 graduate of Mott High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education at Dickinson State Col- lege in 1966 and later did graduate work at the University of North Dakota. Wayne married Reva Kaye Ferguson on June 4, 1966. Wayne worked as a K-12 music teacher for 41 years before retiring. He taught in Courtney, New Leipzig, Beach, Elgin, Carson, ND and Lemmon, SD. In June of 1978, the family moved to the Friez family farm near Bentley, ND, where he farmed and taught. They were the third genera- tion of Friezes to be on the farm. Wayne was active in his church including: deacon, worship leader, Sunday school superin- tendent and teacher. Wayne had a servant's heart and was willing to put his own business on hold to help others and happy to volunteer his time. As a jack of all trades, Wayne had no lack of hobbies. He en- joyed woodworking, welding, mechanicing, plumbing, painting, pi- ano tuning, instrument repair, and playing "all" of the instruments in the band. He enjoyed teach- ing both his students, kids, and especially his grandkids later in life. Grateful for hav- ing shared Wayne's life are his wife Reva, three children, seven grand- children: daughter Deb- bie Friez (Paul Croteau), daughter Melinda (Min- dy) Freelander (Nathan and children Riley, Ad- dison, Elizabeth and Eleanor) and son Ryan Friez (Linda and chil- dren Andrew, Evalyn and Grace), brother Gary Friez(Earleen) sis- ter Beverly Klein (Ter- ry) and sister Cheryl Meyer (Larry). He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dar- yl. Funeral services will take place at Trinity Baptist on January 22, 2021 at 10:30 a.l11.with visitation at 9:30 a.lll.
