Diaphragm Valves have proven to be the answer to many process engineersgreatest desire of reliability at an acceptable cost of ownership. Of simple andreliable design, diaphragm valves offer secure operation with full leak tightoperation. The maintenance, when required, is limited to the replacement ofthe diaphragm, the bolted bonnet design permits the dismantling of the valvewithout removing the valve body from the pipe work.

The bodys seatless design eases the internal lining, which opens a broadrange of inexpensive options to process engineers when selecting materialsresistant to corrosion and abrasion duties. # Greased for life valve spindle;spindle chamber incorporates a greasereservoir that lubricates the spindle along operations thus avoiding valvespindle jamming. Sealed bonnet arrangements are available for toxic andhazardous fluids.

# Valve stroke limiter;the bonnet design prevents over closure of the valvethus avoiding early diaphragm rupture.

Specifically suited to handle corrosive andgeneral applications, it permits the larger

options of linings and diaphragm grades tobe combined. Given the shorter valve stroke,it is the preferred option to fluoropolymerslining and the only design suiting to PTFEdiaphragms.

Diaval Weir Diaphragm Valves allow for morediaphragm cycles with less running anddowntime costs, its pocketless design avoidsline fluid contamination. Weir valves are theoption when flow control is required.

Specifically suited to handle erosive andabrasive applications, its unobstructed fullbore provides excellent performance withlow pressure drop. At valve fully open itoffers a self cleaning design. It is the bestchoice for dirty, contaminated and powdermedia.

Slurries are efficiently handled by theStraight Through Valve design. Unlike Weirvalves, the larger valve stroke restricts theuse of diaphragms to rubber compoundsonly.

Diaval Straight Through DiaphragmValves are comprehensive of all general

design advantages leading to cost savingbenefits.

Also suited to handle erosive and abrasiveapplications, the oversized bonnetensures unobstructed full bore whileproviding minimal low pressure drop. Itresults in a velocity reduction and thereforemakes the valve more abrasion resistant.Operating the valve is also made easierbecause of an oversized handwheel. Atvalve fully open it offers a self cleaningdesign. It is the best choice for dirty,

contaminated and powder media. Slurriesare efficiently handled by the Full FlowValve design. Like Straight Through valves,the larger valve stroke restricts the use ofdiaphragms to rubber compounds only.

The DIAVALactuation range comprises ownbrand and outsourced actuators and controlaccessories for diverse applications.

Weir valves up to DN 50 can be fitted withcompact type actuators, they are integral withthe bonnet assembly permitting quick and easyassembly and replacement without the need toremove the valve body from the pipeline. It isa compact solution that saves installation spaceand permits better handling. The actuators areavailable both for single acting (NC and NO) anddouble acting.

For Weir valves DN 65 and above and the fullrange of Straight Through valves, Diaval has

developed a range of yoke type, spring anddiaphragm actuators which permit trouble freeoperation throughout a large diversity of airsupply and line pressure conditions.

The actuators are available both for single acting(NC and NO) and double acting. This series ofactuators is fitted with hand wheel override asstandard.

The actuation range is complimented by anumber of control accessory options such assolenoids, limit switches, compression tubing,

air flow regulators, positioners and so on.

Theyare, basically, customer oriented valves havingall accreditations and certifications needed in thisindustrial field.

Designs range from conventional patterns totailor made solutions such as block bodied valves,flush bottom, manifold disposal and with all gradesof polished finish.

The Bio Tec line is complemented with the genuineDIAVAL sanitary cast valve for food and dairyindustries.

DIAVAL Sanitary-Cast valve range

Diaval Sanitary-Cast Diaphragm Valves are therecommended choice for flow applications in the

food, beverage, dairy and brewery industries aswell as certain bio-process and pharmaceuticalapplications Diaphragm Valves are ideally suitedin situations where unobstructed flow, throttlingand positive shut-off are required for sensitive ortroublesome flow media. The Diaphragm isolatesthe process media from the environment and allmoving parts of the valve and so protecting themedia from contamination while preventing itfrom interfering with the valve operation.

The valve body is free of any entrapment areasand is self-draining when mounted in a line having

a 2deg incline.

Diaval Sanitary-Cast Diaphragm Valves aremanufactured to the highest standards of theinvestment cast process thus ensuring a highquality casting with excellent surface finish.

Standard bodies are electro-polished to provideabright finish and the interior surface ismechanically polished to 150G (25 Ra).

Other surface finishes are available on request.
