Brooklyn, NY30 April 2011
Presented By: Gladys E. Williams
Grenada, Carriacou & Petite Martinique Nurses’ Association of America
The Issue: The Association has been informed by both our counterparts and our
friends and families of a spike in the number of young people dying from cancer in Grenada. We do not know if this information is also true for Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
DIASPORA FOUNDING CONFERENCENEW YORK CHAPTER30 April 2011
Our Response: We were very concerned and disturbed with this new information.
As a result, the Group had a lively discussion as to how we can assist; we voted to commit $5,000 US to conduct a Research Study into this issue.
