Diaseal M Lost Circulation Material Description: High Solids, High Fluid Loss, Squeeze Material; Solid Plug is Formed When Water is Squeezed From Slurry. Mud Types: All Water Base, Oil Base & Invert Emulsion Muds

Diaseal M Lost Circulation Material Applications All Types of Water and Oil Base Drilling Fluids Can be used in Open Hole of Any Volume When Total Loss Occurs Can be used in Active System for Seepage loss control Can be use in Cased Hole through Perforations or Casing Leaks

Diaseal M Lost Circulation Material Mixing Requirements Clean Mixing Tank Pump Truck (Preferred) Wetting Agent (If Oil Base Mud) Barite (If A Weighted System) Bridging Agent (Optional)

Diaseal M Lost Circulation Material Benefits Does Not Contaminate Drilling Mud Not Necessary to By-Pass Shale Shaker or Flow line Cleaners Quick solution to Lost Circulation Problems Little Risk of Cementing up Drill Pipe Minimal Risk of Side Tracking Hole (As with Cement) Acid Soluble in mud acid

Advantages of using Diaseal M Lost Circulation Material Less than the cost for building new mud volume in most instances Rig Time spent on loss circulation problems is usually reduced An Extremely Cost-Effective Material and Procedure for Remedying Lost Circulation

Diaseal M Lost Circulation Squeeze Procedure for Unweighted Muds Pull drill pipe safely above loss zone or into casing. Keep moving if in open hole. Mix approximately 100 bbls. Slurry and pump into hole. Pull into casing and fill hole through fill-up line. If hole does not fill, mix another slurry and repeat procedure. If hole stands full, close BOP and pump at bbl/min. rate until obtaining 300 psi holding pressure. If no holding pressure is obtained, wait 2 hours and resume operations.

Diaseal M Lost Circulation Squeeze Procedure For Weighted Muds Mix a minimum of 100 lb. Of Diaseal M slurry. Pull drill pipe into casing far enough to handle slurry volume double that of open hole. Pump slurry out of drill pipe to bottom of casing. Make sure hole is full, then close BOP. Pump slurry into open hole at 1 bbl/min. rate. When open hole is full of slurry, shut down pump and start staging procedure. A) Pump 10 to 20 bbls. At bbl/min. maximum rate B) Wait 10 20 minutes and then repeat (a) until holding pressure of from 300 to 900 psi is achieved. Wait 2 hours and then resume operations.

Diaseal M LCM may be spotted many ways

One method of spotting a Diaseal M LCM slurry near a fracture

The Hesitation Squeeze procedure is the method used in placing spotting the Diaseal M LCM slurry

The Hesitation squeeze method slowly forces the Diaseal M LCM into the fracture and props it open. The open hole is full of the remaining solidified slurry
