WBS PRIMARY DANCE FESTIVAL
'It's that time of year again where 260 dancers from all eight of our partner primary schools take part in Stepping Up 2018 accompanied by students from our Encore programme. With all the expected glitz, glam and special effects you'd expect from a William Brookes School dance show, wish our students luck with this sell out event Tuesday 16 January and Wednesday 17 January!
Rehearsals will be on Monday 15 January at break time. If students could keep quiet near the studios and main reception, so as to not disturb the primary students, that would be most helpful!
KS3 POETRY COMPETITION
A big congratulations to Year 7 -Scott Kelly; Year 8 - CerysBennison; and Year 9 - Isobel Cox for coming out on top in their years for the Christmas Poetry Competition! Their poems were featured in the 8 December newsletter along with the other wonderful entries.
DROP IT AND READ
Drop it and Read for Years 7 - 9 will be on Monday 15 January Period 5 & Tuesday 16 January Period 2. Remember to bring a book to read during lesson!
You may bring a book from home or check out a book from the library if you do not have a one.
Students please note that calculators are an essential part of the equipment that you should be carrying with you in school. They are needed in Geography and Science lessons as well as in Maths and other subjects.
You can be given a red dot for not having the correct equipment in school.
If you need a new calculator, please ask your maths teacher - there are some for sale in school.
