among seven undergraduate social work programs, the New Jersey Department of Children and Families, and the National Association of Social Workers, New Jersey Chapter, 2005 • As President of the New Jersey Baccalaureate Social Work Education

Association, I brought together all of the undergraduate social work programs in New Jersey to develop a strategy on how the social work profession could respond to the statewide crisis in public child welfare. I also wrote a proposal to the state and led negotiations with the New Jersey Department of Children and Families on how to transform the strategy into a reality. Ultimately a $1.3 million yearly state contract was awarded to Stockton as the Lead Organization of a consortium of undergraduate social work programs, now known as the Baccalaureate Child Welfare Education Program (BCWEP).
