The bonding of the stainless steel shank to the galvanized nickel plating and diamond is tested by a hammer impact to the finished bur to ensure its integrity and durability. Fully autoclavable aluminum blocks hold up to 15 FG burs. Available in 5 popular colors:Red, silver, green, blue and black.

Holds 12 FG burs or 8 FG + 4 RA burs in a variety of colors. All are autoclavable up to 132°C. Specify color when ordering.

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS

• Ensure your handpiece is in proper working order prior to use. • Insert the bur into the chuck as deeply as possible to avoid slippage. • Always test the handpiece with the bur in place to ensure there are no imperfections. • Avoid jamming or using the bur as a lever as this leads to an increased risk of fracture. • Wear protective eyewear as required. • Always ensure you are working at the recommended speed and using sufficient water for cooling

Coarse and Super coarse grit diamond burs may lead to increased thermal stress. Therefore, when using such product ensure that you are using sufficient water for cooling and work at minimal contact pressure.

• Improper use leads to increased risk. Always comply with the speed and safety recommendations indicated.

Excessive contact pressure (>2N) has to be avoided.

• This can lead to damage to the working part and to chipping of the blades as well as excessive heat generation.

• Increased contact pressure may lead to stripping of the grit on diamond burs and increased heat generation.

Increased contact pressure may also lead to thermal damage to the pulp. In some cases, instrument breakage may occur.

• To avoid undesirable heat generation during preparation, make sure to provide sufficient cooling by

means of air/water spray

Insufficient water cooling can result in irreversible damage to the tooth and the surrounding

tissue.

• Damaged and deformed blades can cause vibrations and lead to poor preparation margins and rough

surfaces. VERY IMPORTANT: Blunt and damaged instruments may result in an increased operating temperature and thermal damage to the pulp. Damaged instruments should be discarded immediately.

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS

• Prior to the first use and immediately after each use, Instruments should be sterilized. • We recommend wearing puncture resistant gloves when handling contaminated instruments. • Pre-Soak instruments immediately after use to loosen debris. • For cleaning, we recommend that you use automated cleaning instruments. • Burs should be separated from one another in a bur block to prevent damage during sterilization

Sterilization of instruments is carried out in the autoclave using known methods. Minimum hold times: 30 minutes at 121°C or for 4 minutes at 134° C. Times listed are hold times, running times are longer and may vary from unit to unit. Instructions from the device manufacturer should always be observed.

• After sterilization, Check instruments for defects on the surface (corrosion). Do Not use corroded instruments.

• The operator of medical products is responsible for ensuring that proper care is taken by qualified staff using the appropriate materials and suitable equipment.

These instruments should only be used according to their intended application.
