MAIN PARTS OF AN ESSAY
3 main parts: an introduction, a body, and a conclusion
The introductory paragraph attracts the
readers’ attention and informs the reader the
main idea of your paper.
The body discusses subtopics, one by
one. The number of paras in the body will
vary with the number of subtopics in TS.
Remember to show the relationships
between paragraphs by using appropriate
linking words, phrases, or clauses.
The concluding paragraph reminds your
reader of what you have said. Remember
to use a “conclusion transitions. !ou should
write a summary of the main ideas and your final comment on the
topic.
